Refund Policy
We want you to feel good about your subscription to Romeo. This policy explains how refunds work and protects your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
1. Standard refunds
If you cancel your subscription within 7 days of your most recent payment, you can request a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of that billing period. This applies to every billing cycle, not just your first. Email hello@withromeo.com with the subject "Refund request" and include your account email.
We process refund requests within 5 business days. The refund returns to your original payment method. Banks sometimes take longer to show the refund; that's outside our control.
2. Outside the 7-day window
After 7 days, we generally don't refund partial periods. You can still cancel at any time and you'll keep access until the end of your current paid period.
Exceptions: if Romeo has had a major outage, if a paid feature didn't work as described, or if you've been incorrectly charged, we'll refund regardless of the 7-day window.
3. Australian Consumer Law
If you're in Australia, you have rights under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded. These include guarantees that the Service will be:
- Provided with due care and skill
- Reasonably fit for purpose
- Provided within a reasonable time
If we fail to meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a refund, replacement, or compensation, depending on whether the failure is "major" or "minor". Nothing in this policy limits those rights.
4. Bookings made through affiliate partners
When you book a flight, hotel, tour, or experience through a Romeo affiliate link, that booking is a separate contract between you and the partner (Booking, Skyscanner, Viator, Get Your Guide, etc.). Refunds for those bookings are handled by the partner under their own refund policy. We can't refund travel bookings on behalf of partners.
If you have trouble getting a refund from a partner, contact them first. If you can't resolve it, email hello@withromeo.com and we'll try to help where we can.
5. Chargebacks
If you raise a chargeback with your bank without contacting us first, we may pause your account while we investigate. Please email us first. 99% of issues we can resolve quickly without involving the bank.

Include: your account email, the date of the payment you're asking us to refund, and a brief reason. The reason isn't required, but it helps us improve.
